 The Alter Eagles

The Alter Eagles are delighted to bring their celebration of one of the best-loved bands of all time – to Lane Theatre for the very first time. Now in their 23rd anniversary year, the band have established themselves as one of the country’s top tribute acts, headlining at theatres all over the country. Playing a mix of old and new Eagles’ songs, all the classics – including Hotel California, Take It Easy, One Of These Nights, Take It To The Limit, Desperado, Lyin’ Eyes and Life In The Fast Lane – as well as Henley, Frey and Walsh solo numbers (like Boys of Summer, The Heat Is On and Rocky Mountain Way) along with some deep cuts, the band have wowed audiences with their faithful tribute to one of the most popular bands of all time.

This free, family-friendly event promises a fun-filled evening with great music from DJ Beaker, bringing party vibes to the heart of Newquay.

This year’s theme is SEASIDE, perfectly timed to welcome the return of the UK Surf & Skate Expo (24th – 26th July) to town for the same weekend. 

Expect beach-inspired fun, summer energy and plenty of reasons to dance the evening away.

 Newquay Sessions – The First Wave

Saturday 4th July, 2026 — 10am–6pm

The First Wave is the first of Newquay Town Council's 'Newquay Sessions' series, bringing free live music events to the Killacourt throughout the summer. The line-up features a K-Pop inspired act and other Newquay favourites, hosted by our friends at Radio Newquay. 

The event will run alongside the Big Newquay Market, which takes place on the Killacourt and throughout the town centre on the first Saturday of every month from March to November. Then, get ready for the return of the Newquay Carnival from 6pm!

Enjoy an afternoon of entertainment from:

· Chris Hogg – 11:15 – 12:45 – modern blues music

· Poptastic Party Show– 13:00 – 14:45 – a tribute to Taylor Swift, Sabrina Carpenter and Chappell Roan, replacing the previously advertised K-Pop Krew 

· The Qwest – 15:30 – 17:00 – feel-good favourites to close the day

In addition to the live music, attendees can enjoy the BIG Newquay Market offering a variety of local crafts, food, and unique finds. A bar will also be available, serving a selection of refreshing drinks throughout the event.

Newquay Sessions are free to attend, making them the perfect family-friendly event this summer.

The Killacourt is set for a full day of country-inspired fun as Newquay Sessions brings a lively Country Hoedown to the heart of town.
